What started as a fun and energetic fashion label, Red Handed has evolved to be a modern clothing story supplying Surf and Sports Clubs and Leagues, Charity Events, Company Promotional Merchandise and more.
A love for all things surf and sport, with over 40 years of involvement in Surf Lifesaving in Australia, Red Handed is a genuine Australian sporting brand. We support local communities and have sponsored several clubs and more over the journey.
A co-op of elite and amateur athletes continue to contribute to the ever-growing product offering and combine creativity and performance with comfort and style. We are proud to offer custom design garments that are tailored to the needs of the user.
Red Handed aided in the genesis of a significant Australian charity event by ensuring their merchandise campaign was sourced ethically, economically and at the quality that is expected in a retail market. The event superseded all expectations, and as a consequence, led to us developing a supply chain network to facilitate large scale production of a wide range of products across clothing and apparel, headwear, into promotional products such as lanyards, wristbands and more.
Red Handed is doing our bit to help save our planet…
Having started as a brand supplying Surf Life Saving clubs and events, we aim to take every measure to ensure that the environment is considered in our processes and we encourage our customers to help us lead the charge.
In the pursuit of cheap prices, the textiles industry has become one of the most polluting industries on earth because of pesticides, bleaches and dyes entering waterways and the oceans that we love. That is why Red Handed chooses to source the most eco-conscious fabrics and dyeing processes available.
We are taking a stance for the environment and only uses fabrics and dyes that are Oeko-Tex certified. We ensure our supply chain are held to strict standards and no toxic dyes are used. We do not individually pack items in plastics unless specifically requested. We also make sure everyone in our supply chain is looked after.
Our sister factory in Bali is responsible for the founding of the ‘Keep Bali Clean’ campaign, and we are proud of our association with the program. The Keep Bali Clean campaign both educates the local community on environmental issues whilst actively collecting waste from the oceans and beach fronts.
We only use eco-washed T shirts (using recycled water), made from Premium Australian and USA long-stable cotton, meaning better quality and longer lasting garments. Our fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certifed, meaning they have been tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances known to be detrimental to human health.
The Cold Pad Batch Dyeing (CPB) Technology we utilise, uses 80% less water than the conventional vat dyeing methods and means there is zero run o into streams and rivers. Our screen printing process is done with Japanese water-based inks which are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified and 100% free of PVC, dangerous phthalates, formaldahyde , heavy metals, AZO compounds and non-ylphenol xenoestrogens.
We have worked with many clubs, events and brands around Australia, and look forward to working with you.
